  • Pot

Ingredients

  • 1 Black Peppercorns
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey

Instructions

  • Take about 1 teaspoon of whole black peppercorns and grind them using a mortar and pestle. You want them to be roughly ground to release all their spicy goodness.
  • Add pepper to a small pot with water, boil, and then simmer on low for 5 minutes.
  •  After tea is fully infused strain through a fine mesh strainer.
  • While tea is still hot, stir in honey to your liking.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • Pepper Intensity: Feel free to adjust the amount of black pepper used based on your preference. Start with a teaspoon and if you enjoy the kick, consider adding a little more next time.
  • Variations: Experiment by adding other herbs or spices, such as a cinnamon stick, ginger slices, or a cardamom pod, during the steeping process to introduce new flavors to your tea.
  • Serving Suggestions: Black pepper tea can be a great accompaniment to a hearty breakfast or a soothing nighttime beverage. Consider pairing it with a slice of lemon or orange to add a fresh, citrusy twist.
