Ginger Chai | How to Make Ginger Chai

This warm sweet and spicy ginger chai tea is made with fresh ginger root, chai tea bags, sugar, and milk. Put the kettle on and let’s enjoy a cup!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tablespoons of Fresh Ginger Root lightly chopped
  • 1 Chai Tea Bag you can also use black tea, but I like the extra spices with using chai tea bags.
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Peel Ginger root with kitchen vegetable peeler and slice in smaller pieces. (Note: not to small that it could not be caught with strainer.)
  • Place Small Pot on stove and add water.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Add ginger root and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add tea bags.
  • Add milk and sugar and stir.
  • Allow to steep on the stove for 5 minutes occasionally stirring.
  • Remove tea bags and extract liquid from them.
  • Use a strainer to filter out ginger root.
  • Pour into tea cups.
  • Enjoy.
