Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Matcha
  • 1 Cup Lemonade
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • Ice

Instructions

  •  Add matcha powder and water into a ceramic bowl and use a bamboo whisk to vigorously whisk the matcha until there are no clumps and the mixture is light and almost frothy. Set aside.
  • Add a scoop of ice to the bottom of your serving glass.
  • Pour lemonade over ice.
  • Top with matcha.
  • Serve with a straw and garnish with lemon slices if desired.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • Make sure to use filtered water for the matcha, ice cubes, and lemonade to ensure the best taste.
  • You can also add honey to sweeten the drink or add more lemon juice for a tart flavor.
  • Make only enough for one sitting. For maximum freshness, I try not to make it too much in advance. Because it is so easy to make, I only make one batch at a time!
  • Use high-quality matcha from a trusted, reputable source. For starters, try looking for high-grade ceremonial matcha from Japan. It should be a rich green color, and smooth feel or texture.
  • Use your favorite lemonade!
