Add matcha powder and water into a ceramic bowl and use a bamboo whisk to vigorously whisk the matcha until there are no clumps and the mixture is light and almost frothy. Set aside.
Add a scoop of ice to the bottom of your serving glass.
Pour lemonade over ice.
Top with matcha.
Serve with a straw and garnish with lemon slices if desired.

Make sure to use filtered water for the matcha, ice cubes, and lemonade to ensure the best taste.
You can also add honey to sweeten the drink or add more lemon juice for a tart flavor.
Make only enough for one sitting. For maximum freshness, I try not to make it too much in advance. Because it is so easy to make, I only make one batch at a time!
Use high-quality matcha from a trusted, reputable source. For starters, try looking for high-grade ceremonial matcha from Japan. It should be a rich green color, and smooth feel or texture.
