Equipment

  • OXO Brew Tea Infuser Basket
  • Anthony's Organic French Lavender Petals, 5 oz, Extra Grade, Dried, Gluten Free & Non GMO

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Teaspoon Lavender Petals
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Heat Water in Kettle to 212°. (If using a saucepan or stovetop kettle, heat to boiling)
  • Prepare your tea cup: Add sugar or desired sweetener to the bottom of your cup.
  • Fill infuser with tea and put into the cup.
  • Pour hot water over the tea.
  • Cover and steep for 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile warm and foam milk. (Warming the milk also keeps your tea hot longer)
  • Remove infuser. 
  • Add vanilla.
  • Pour milk over prepared tea and give a little stir.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Lavender tea is very forgiving. I have overstepped the tea and the results were perfect. No bitter aftertaste.
For the stovetop method, heat the water until it is boiling.

I have found this tea to be extremely versatile. I have easily substituted different kinds of milk and sweeteners with very pleasant results. Feel free to use what you prefer. This is your tea! Below are a few ideas.
