- 1 sprig of fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon of dried oregano leaves.
- 8 ounces of water
- Honey to taste
- Ice cubes optional
Warm up the teapot or tea mug by pouring in some hot water and swirling around before discarding the water.
Add fresh or dried leaves to the prepared teapot or mug.
Pour boiling water over the leaves and let them steep for 5-10 minutes.
Strain out oregano.
Add honey or lemon to taste, if desired.
Enjoy your tea!

Bring the water to a boil and then remove it from the heat. Add the oregano to your teapot and let it steep for 5-10 minutes.
Strain the tea and add honey to taste.
Let cool.
Pour over ice cubes and enjoy!
- I use oregano from my garden but you can purchase fresh oregano at your local supermarket or farmer’s market.
- Use quality, pure, filtered water to brew your tea
- If you’re looking for a stronger cup of tea, add more oregano.
