Ingredients
  

  • 1 sprig of fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon of dried oregano leaves.
  • 8 ounces of water
  • Honey to taste
  • Ice cubes optional

Instructions
 

  • Warm up the teapot or tea mug by pouring in some hot water and swirling around before discarding the water.
  • Add fresh or dried leaves to the prepared teapot or mug.
  • Pour boiling water over the leaves and let them steep for 5-10 minutes.
  • Strain out oregano.
  • Add honey or lemon to taste, if desired.
  • Enjoy your tea!

Iced

  • Bring the water to a boil and then remove it from the heat. Add the oregano to your teapot and let it steep for 5-10 minutes.
  • Strain the tea and add honey to taste.
  • Let cool.
  • Pour over ice cubes and enjoy!

Notes

  • I use oregano from my garden but you can purchase fresh oregano at your local supermarket or farmer’s market.
  • Use quality, pure, filtered water to brew your tea
  • If you’re looking for a stronger cup of tea, add more oregano.
