Allow the sugar to dissolve. (this will only take a few minutes.)
Add in roses and stir.
Allow mixture to simmer on low for about 5 minutes.
Turn off heat.
Cover pot and allow to sit and infuse for at least 10 minutes.
Strain out rose solids.
Allow mixture to cool.
Transfer to storage jar and refrigerate when not in use.

Recipe Tips
This recipe does not call for any coloring. I love the all-natural color without any additives. However, if you are looking for a deeper color, you can add 1 drop of pink food coloring after straining the prepared syrup. Or consider using a natural coloring such as adding a hibiscus petal or beet powder.
When straining out the rosebuds, I strain my syrup from the pot back into the liquid measuring cup. From there I pour the syrup into my storage jar. It makes for a super easy process, and fewer dishes to wash!
