Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Strawberries Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Matcha
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/4 Cup Water

Instructions

  • Prepare Strawberries — Rinse and slice strawberries into fairly small slices to fit as many as you can into 1/2 Cup.
  • Blend — Add strawberries straight into your blender with milk and sugar. Pulse on low until blended. You can blend until totally smooth or leave a bit of strawberry pulp for texture.
  • Whisk Matcha — Spoon matcha into a separate bowl and add warm water. Whisk until matcha and water are combined and smooth without any lumps.
  • Serving — Pour strawberries and milk straight from the blender into your serving cup. Next, add a handful of ice and top the drink off with a shot of matcha and add a straw!

Notes

  • To create bold and separate layers, use liquid sugar and blend with just the strawberries. Layer this first into your cup. Next, add milk, then ice, and top with a shot of matcha.
  • You can use almost any milk as long as it is unsweetened.
  • Avoiding sugar? Make this recipe sugar-free by using stevia or honey in place of the sugar, or leave it out altogether. Substituting will alter the taste a bit but it will still be delicious!
