Hot Water Tea Method

  • Add the loose leaf to the jar.
  • Pour hot water over the tea.
  • Cover and steep for 5 minutes. (up to 10 minutes for herbal tea.)
  • After the tea has finished steeping, use a tea strainer and pour the tea through the strainer into a fresh jar or pitcher.
  • Allow the tea to cool down before putting the tea into the refrigerator to chill.
  • Serve over ice or as desired!

Cold Brew Tea Recipe

  • Add the loose leaf to the jar.
  • Pour cold water over the tea.
  • Cover and put in the refrigerator for 8-12 hours.
  • After the tea has had enough time to steep remove it from the fridge.
  • Use a tea strainer and pour the tea through the strainer into a fresh jar or pitcher.
  • The tea is now ready to enjoy – serve over ice or as desired!

Notes

  • For the best taste, use filtered water
  • If you find that your tea tends to get watered down with ice, add extra tea. Use an extra half of the amount of tea you used. So if you used 4 teaspoons, add an extra 2 teaspoons.
  • Sweeten the tea with liquid sugar
  • Flavor tea with raspberryblueberry, or blackberries.
  • Put a fun spin on the classic sweet iced tea with tamarind.
