Lady Grey Tea is an exquisite black tea blend, exclusively from Twinings, and is one of the most pleasant tea flavors I’ve ever tasted. Put the kettle on and let’s have a cup!
I had to have a little spotlight on Lady Grey Tea today. I feel like it isn’t talked about very much and it is too wonderful to pass over or ignore.
Growing up my favorite place to be was my grandma’s house. Each afternoon, she would make a pot of tea, always Earl Grey, and declare afternoon tea time. I always added plenty of sugar and milk to my tea mostly drowning out any tea flavor. That was before I fully appreciated the wonderful taste of tea.
Having grown up on Earl Grey, I absolutely had to try Lady Grey Tea. I am pleased to say it does not disappoint. This light refreshing tea stands on its own and in my opinion, doesn’t need a drop of milk or lump of sugar, though it is strong enough tea flavor and both can be added if desired. If you’re feeling like a latte, try the recipe below for a Lady Grey Tea Latte! It’s amazing!

What is in a Lady Grey Tea Latte?
- Lady Grey Tea (tea bags or loose-leaf) –
- Milk – chose any you like! My favorite is oat milk.
- Sugar – brown sugar is my favorite, but the choice is yours.
- Cinnamon – is optional but I like adding a dash at the end. Personally, I think cinnamon and citrus together is irresistible.
How to Make a Lady Grey Tea Latte
Supplies
- teacup
- kettle
- measuring spoons
- tea strainer (if using loose leaf tea)
- timer (stovetop timer or watch is great!)
Ingredients
- 2 Lady Grey Tea bags ( or 3 teaspoons of loose leaf tea)
- 1 1/2 Cups Filtered Water
- 2 Tablespoons Milk
- 2 Teaspoons Sugar
- Dash of Cinnamon
How to make Lady Grey Tea Latte
- Heat water in a kettle on the stovetop (or use an electric kettle)
- While water is heating, place 2 teabags in a cup with sugar.
- Pour water over teabags and sugar.
- Cover and steep for 7 minutes.
- Warm milk and pour into cup.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon
- Enjoy!
Tips:
- Choose an easily dissolving sweetener such as honey, table sugar, stevia, or maple syrup.
- Avoid coarse sugar as it is slower to dissolve.
- Any milk should work in this recipe. Note that most non-dairy milk options come with a bit of their own flavor. Chose accordingly. I like oat milk for non-dairy milk as it tastes neutral and doesn’t compete with the tea flavor.
- Cinnamon is optional, and I sprinkle it just on top.
