If you are looking for a refreshing iced chai, after allowing the tea to cool, pour over ice! Enjoy. TIP: use tea iced cubes to keep your drink from watering down as the ice melts.

Lavender Chai Latte Recipe Notes, Tips, and Tricks

  • Selecting Lavender: Only use culinary-grade lavender.
  • Crushing Spices: When crushing the spices, don’t overdo it. You want to release their oils and fragrances, not turn them into a powder.
  • Steeping Time: The steeping time for your tea can alter the flavor. A longer steep may result in a stronger, more robust profile, but be careful not to over-steep as this can lead to bitterness.
  • Adding Sweetness: Feel free to add a sweetener to your liking. Honey, agave syrup, or a sugar substitute can be used. Remember, it’s always easier to add more, so start with a smaller amount and taste as you go.
  • Milk Choices: You can use any milk or milk alternative in this recipe. Almond or oat milk can give a little extra sweetness, while dairy milk gives a richer texture.
  • Frothing Milk: If you don’t have a milk frother, you can also whisk the milk vigorously in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Garnish: A sprinkle of dried lavender buds or a cinnamon stick can add a beautiful touch to the presentation of your latte.
  • Serving Size: This recipe makes one large or two more modestly sized lattes. If you’re preparing for more people, simply double or triple the recipe as needed.

Remember, the best part of home brewing is the ability to customize! Feel free to adjust the recipe to suit your taste buds.

This looks delish!! Can’t wait to try! One comment – are you sure the nutrition facts are correct? 47 g sugar is very high, and I only see 1-2 Tbl honey on the ingredient list and honey should be about 17 g sugar per Tbl. I know many people have to watch their sugar so just thought you might want to double check that. And the photos are beautiful!!
