Expert Tips and Recipe Notes

  • Selecting Strawberries: Choose ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor. Look for bright red berries that are firm to the touch. If you can, go for organic strawberries, as they tend to have a richer taste and are free from pesticides.
  • Adjusting Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, feel free to adjust the amount of strawberry simple syrup based on your taste.
  • Chill Time: For an even more refreshing drink, consider preparing your iced tea the night before and letting it chill overnight. This extra time allows the flavors to meld beautifully!
  • Adding Fizz: For a fun sparkle, mix in some club soda or sparkling water just before serving. This adds a lovely fizz that makes the drink feel festive and more refreshing.
  • Ginger Levels: If you’re a ginger lover, feel free to increase the amount of ginger you use. Just remember that more ginger will yield a spicier flavor, so adjust to your liking!
  • Herb Infusions: Experiment with adding fresh herbs like basil or thyme for an aromatic boost. Just toss a few sprigs into the pot while simmering the ginger for an unexpected flavor profile.
  • Storage: If you have any leftovers, store them in the fridge for up to three days.
