Chai is my ultimate indulgence and comfort tea. It’s what I order when I’m frazzled and running through the Starbucks drive-thru, and it’s what I have when I’m out on a “coffee date” and it’s what I choose to make almost every day for my morning cup or afternoon pick me up. The dark tea, the spices, the sweet milkiness are all the perfect blend and what makes this tea so good.

It’s just one of those drinks you can enjoy anytime- morning, noon, and night, and it’s surprisingly easy to make this Starbucks favorite at home!

What is a Chai Tea Latte?

Chai is a classic tea latte, made with black tea, warm spices, sweetened, and topped with foaming milk. It just doesn’t get any better!

What is in Chai Tea?

This recipe is pretty simple when it comes to ingredients. It’s ideal for making at home because it comes together quickly without a lot of fuss and mess.

  • Tazo Classic Chai Tea bags – This is my go-to brand!
  • Brown Sugar – I like to use dark for an extra rich tea.
  • Milk – Whole Milk is traditionally used, but I prefer a gluten-free plant-based Oatmilk.
  • Filtered Water – Fresh and filtered water makes the best tea!
