Hibiscus and cranberries are, in my opinion, a perfect blend. Both have a slightly tart flavor and naturally bright color. They pair together to make a lovely flavor-packed tea that can be rather addictive. This caffeine-free recipe can also be refined sugar-free using honey to sweeten it.

What is Cranberry Hibiscus Tea?

Cranberry hibiscus tea is how the name sounds. Fresh cranberries and hibiscus flowers combined to make a gorgeous cup of tea. This herbal tea can be served hot or iced. Whether you are looking for the comforting warmth of a hot cup on a chilly morning or the refreshing coolness of an iced version on a sunny day, cranberry hibiscus tea is the perfect solution.

Ingredients for Cranberry Hibiscus Tea

  • Fresh or Frozen Cranberries – I have used fresh and frozen cranberries for this recipe and both have worked well.
  • Hibiscus Flowers – Dried hibiscus flowers are fairly easy to find in-store or purchased online.
  • Honey – Sweeten to taste with honey. I provide a starting point but feel free to add less honey or more to your taste.
  • Water – The foundation of this tea, a simple ingredient that transforms with what we add to it. Start with fresh, cold water for the best taste.
  • Lemon or Orange (optional) – I used a few slices of fresh orange for garnish. A citrus twist not only adds a bright note to this tea but also adds a bit of flavor and a festive color.

Variations for Cranberry Hibiscus Tea Recipe

  • Adding Spice: On chilly days, add a cinnamon stick and a few cloves to the saucepan with the cranberries. The spices infuse the tea with a warm spicy flavor.
