This herbal turmeric ginger and lemon tea will probably be one of the most flavorful teas you may ever drink! It has a beautiful bright yellow color and its taste is simply delicious! Enjoy it it as a hot cozy cup to soothe a cold or serve over ice for a refreshing burst of flavor and nutrition!

Using fresh turmeric is fairly new to me. I’ve always just used ground-dried turmeric found in the spice section at my local supermarket. However, after doing a little research, I learned that turmeric can be treated about the same as fresh ginger. Since ginger is a familiar ingredient for me and have been using it in recipes for my entire adult life, I felt comfortable trying out fresh turmeric. I am so happy I took the step because fresh turmeric is absolutely delicious and it doesn’t leave a residue like ground spice at the bottom of my cup.

Tip – did you know you don’t have to peel ginger or turmeric in recipes when the root is cooked and strained before serving?

  • Make this fun variation with cinnamon!

Storage and Shelf Life of Turmeric Ginger Lemon Tea

  • Store the leftover Turmeric Ginger Lemon Tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

  • If you notice any change in flavor or smell, discard the tea immediately as this can be a sign of spoilage.
  • Avoid storing the tea at room temperature as it can lead to the growth of bacteria.
  • For the best taste, consider reheating the refrigerated tea gently on the stove or in a microwave before drinking.
