What is an Oat Milk Matcha Latte?
A matcha oat milk latte is a matcha latte made with oat milk instead of dairy milk. For this recipe, I use vanilla bean paste to add even more flavor and a bit of liquid sugar or honey to sweeten this latte for the ultimate cozy drink. Ingredients to Make Matcha with Oat Milk
- Matcha – Use high-quality ceremonial-grade matcha for the best taste!
- Oat Milk – I use full-fat Oatly Oat Milk (this is not sponsored, I just really like this brand!) This milk is super creamy and makes for a lavish drink that elevates the taste and experience.
- Honey or Liquid Sugar (optional) – If you like your matcha oat milk latte sweet, using honey or liquid sugar is the way to go. Honey or a simple syrup mixes nicely with this latte. If you are using sugar, try simple syrup. The sugar is already dissolved and ready to mix with the drink. This relieves you of the possibility of the sugar sinking to the bottom of the drink or leaving you with a grainy texture. Both of which really detract from this latte. If you don’t have any on hand, you can certainly make your own – it only uses sugar and water! If you would prefer, you can use honey, maple sugar, or another sweetener.
- Water – If you’re a regular reader, you will notice I suggest using filtered water in pretty much every recipe. That is because water is an important element, especially in creating drinks. Use filtered water if possible!
- Vanilla Bean Paste – Vanilla pairs with matcha and a little goes a long way. I use vanilla bean paste, but you can also use vanilla extract if that is what you have on hand.
